Lidija Pecova is the co-founder and President of HEMA-ONKO, North Macedonia’s only multi-cancer patient and caregiver organisation and she also serves as the Head of Member Relations, Events, and Programme Management at the CML Advocates Network. She has over 15 years of experience in patient advocacy, programme management, and healthcare policy, with expertise in governance, financial oversight and international network-building.

Lidija has been actively involved in patient advocacy, healthcare policy engagement, and capacity-building initiatives across multiple regions, particularly in Central Eastern Europe and the Balkans and has played a key role in securing increased government funding for haematology treatments through the “HEMA-ONKO 2025 Cancer Plan”, benefiting myeloma patients.
