Bosnia and Herzegovina marks myeloma awareness month

We are delighted to share an update from our member organisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who marked Myeloma Action Month with a series of meaningful activities in March.

On 26 March, they organised a professional meeting in Tuzla, bringing together over 50 participants including haematologists, healthcare professionals, patients and family members. The event focused on a multidisciplinary approach to multiple myeloma, with the aim of strengthening awareness, knowledge exchange and patient support.

The meeting was held with the support of the University Clinical Center Tuzla, with lectures delivered by experts from the centre. The programme was further enriched by the contribution of a nuclear medicine specialist from Mostar, broadening the multidisciplinary perspective on myeloma care.

It was encouraging to see such strong engagement and openness among participants, as well as a shared recognition of the need to improve access to modern therapies and coordinated care for people living with myeloma.

As part of Myeloma Action Month, the team also organised a red illumination of a public building, joining the global effort to raise awareness and show solidarity with the myeloma community.

We are proud to see our members across Europe taking such meaningful action, and we thank our colleagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina for their dedication and for contributing to a growing movement for change.
