Myeloma and infection: clinical and lived perspectives webinar

Myeloma and infection: clinical and lived perspectives webinar

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) will host a webinar on “Myeloma and infection: clinical and lived perspectives” on Thursday, 11th September 2025 from 17:00 – 18:00 CEST.

Aimed at myeloma patients, carers and patient advocates, the webinar will feature presentations on infection risk and prevention in myeloma, and a patient’s experiences of infection in myeloma.

Jackie Quinn, Myeloma Clinical Nurse Specialist, Belfast Trust will present information on how myeloma and its treatments increase infection risk, and how patients can help protect themselves against infection. This will include topics such as immunisations (vaccines), infection risk associated with bispecific antibodies and medications that help prevent or treat infection.

Mimi Quinn, myeloma patient, Ireland will then present her experience of infection during her diagnosis and treatments. She will also discuss how living with reduced immunity impacts her life, including her career.

All participants will have the opportunity to participate in a moderated Q&A session.
