  • Full time / permanent
  • Approx. 10 days of travel per year
  • Munich, Germany
  • Salary: 35.000-40.000 EUR GROSS per year

Tasks (non-exhaustive and subject to change depending on needs of the organisation):
  • Business support and assistance to the CEO
  • Monitor open actions, make sure follow-up takes place by the team
  • Prepare background documentation for meetings and write minutes
  • Draft PowerPoint presentations
  • Monitor bookkeeping and income
  • Issue invoices, process payments, process reimbursement claims
  • Monitor official documents are up to date and in line with formal requirements
  • Coordinate meetings (scheduling, agenda, venues, travel booking)
  • Help prepare Board meetings and Annual General Assembly
  • Ensure organisation’s databases are update and accurate


 Experience and skills:
  • Experience in delivering on time and within budget
  • Minimum professional experience of five years in a similar capacity
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
  • Experience as a patient or caregiver with a life-threatening condition is helpful, even though not required
  • Knowledge/experience in working for non-profit organisations, preferably in the field of healthcare
  • High level ability to use electronic office tools (web-based content management system, word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to be pro-active, flexible, self-driven and work independently from the home office and within tight deadlines.
  • Experience of collaborative working in a virtual environment (with a team distributed across Europe)
  • Experience in supervising the work of external contractors
  • Commitment to patient-centered healthcare and the core values of a patient-led organization

About MPE:

Myeloma Patients Europe (MPE) is an umbrella organisation of myeloma patient groups and associations from across Europe. It is registered as an international non-profit organisation under Belgian Law.

MPE is dedicated to improving the treatment, care and quality of life of patients with myeloma and AL Amyloidosis. To this end, the main goals of the organisation are:

  • Collaborating on projects to the benefit of the myeloma community
  • Exchanging information and best practice
  • Developing existing patient groups and encouraging and facilitating the setting up of new groups
  • Helping to shape appropriate health-related policies and initiatives on a European and national level
  • Ensuring patients across Europe receive timely access to new treatment
  • Stimulating and promoting patient-centred research and clinical trials
  • Developing a strong evidence base for the needs and wants of patients and their role in research
  • Providing information, educational and outreach programmes to member groups

MPE acts as an umbrella organisation for 46 national myeloma patient groups from across 30 European countries. The team currently consists of six people working from different European countries. Find here more information about the executive office.

    I have work permit in germany. I have 10 years of experience in quality management, reporting, assisting, on time delivery, MPP, Power Point Excell and fluent in spoken and written English. Though I have no experience in health are.
    But I am from software field and have done Btech in Computer Science.
